Ashlee Weekley is a CIC Infection Preventionist with 8 years of acute care hospital experience and public health outreach. She attended the University of Arizona receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology. Ashlee started her carreer as a Clinical Microbiologist in Tucson, Arizona and currently maintains certification as a Technologist in Microbiology (ASCP). Following a move to Houston in 2017, Ashlee entered a new role as an Infection Preventionist and currently works within the Houston Methodist Hospital System. Ashlee has served as APIC Houston Chapter Treasurer since 2022 and maintained a role as Infection Prevention Specialist to FortBend County Health and Human Services during the COVID-19 pandemic. In her spare time Ashlee enjoys traveling with her husband Kevin, and spending time with their two dogs: Bella, a husky, and Shay a lab mix. Ashlee’s hobbies include reading, cross-stitching, and cozy weather baking.
