Lita Jo Henman MPH, CIC, FAPIC has over 30 years of experience in the field of infection prevention. She recently retired as the first system director of infection prevention for OhioHealth, a 16 hospital system. Additionally, she has worked for the Ohio Department of Health to provide annual inspection and collaborative guidance to the Ebola assessment and treatment hospitals in the state of Ohio. Jo has a master’s degree in public health from Ohio State University as well as a degrees in clinical laboratory science and healthcare administration. She has had the honor of being a past President of the Certification Board of Infection Control (CBIC) as well chairing the test committe and practice analysis for CBIC. Jo is passionate about mentoring the next generation of IPs and paying forward all of the support she has received during her career.
