Dr. Siru Prasai is a Senior Epidemiologist with over 15 years of experience in public health and a decade of prior clinical experience in obstetrics/gynecology and medical education abroad. Her public health work focuses on infection prevention and control in healthcare settings, with a particular emphasis on reducing the transmission of multidrug-resistant organisms.
As the subject matter expert on infection prevention at the Maricopa County Department of Public Health, Dr. Prasai collaborates closely with local, state, and federal partners, as well as healthcare facility professionals, on issues related to healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), antimicrobial resistance (AR), antimicrobial stewardship (AS), and emerging threats such as Candida auris.
Drawing on her combined clinical and epidemiological expertise, Dr. Prasai offers a systems-level, practical perspective on enhancing patient safety and healthcare quality.
