Dr. Curtis Donskey is a Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University and Chair of the Infection Control Committee at the Cleveland VA Medical Center. His research focuses on infection control of healthcare-associated pathogens, including C. difficile, MRSA, and multidrug-resistant gram-negative bacilli. He has spearheaded efforts to understand the role of environmental and skin contamination in spread of pathogens, and worked to develop effective interventions to prevent transmission from these sources. He has also led efforts to evaluate and determine the real-world performance of ultraviolet light technologies. Dr. Donskey’s research has been funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs, the CDC, and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. In addition to his research, Dr. Donskey has received awards for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
