Bobbiejean began her career in infection prevention in 2005, first as an infection preventionist, then moving to be the first HAI epidemiologist for the Texas state health department for 10 years and in 2023 rejoined being an infection preventionist at the system level for the Houston Methodist Hospital System. She has been a member of APIC since 2006 and in that time has dedicated herself to preventing infections and teaching others how to excel in their role. When she's not working, she enjoys audiobooks, mindfulness and spending quality time with those she loves.
