Andrea Vasold is the Director of Clinical Quality under the MedStar Institute of Quality and Safety (MIQS).
In her role, Andrea has led various interdisciplinary system quality improvement initiatives partnering with leaders throughout the organization.
Prior to joining MIQS, Andrea worked at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital for 22 years in a variety of roles that include critical care bedside nursing, nursing management and leadership roles, as well as the Performance Improvement Manager overseeing and leading quality and performance improvement work.
Lastly, she has partnered with Infection Prevention in a number of hospital-acquired infection initiatives. The team was most recently recognized as a Circle of Honor winner from the Maryland Patient Safety Center for their Central Line-associated Bloodstream Infection reduction efforts.
Andrea has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villa Julie College and a Master’s in Nursing with a concentration in Leadership/Quality Management from Stevenson University.
