Casaundra Wilburn is an Infection Preventionist with WVU Medicine and has a passion for emergency preparedness and emergency management. Casaundra has 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a variety of settings, including long-term care/skilled nursing, acute rehabilitation, and acute care. She has worked in healthcare quality since 2017 where she has assisted facilities with quality assurance and quality improvement processes. She achieved Certification in Nursing Professional Development in 2020 and Certification in Infection Control in 2023. She has worked for WVU Medicine as an Infection Preventionist since 2021.
Casaundra Wilburn graduated from Fairmont State University with an Associate of Science in Nursing in 2004. She attended Aspen University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2019. She completed a Master of Public Health from Aspen University in 2023. She currently works to promote pediatric and adolescent public health.
