Michelle George, RN, BSN works as an Infection Preventionist at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. Prior to this role, she worked for many years as a surgical nurse in the operating rooms at Cleveland Clinic and has also had experience with floor nursing on a cardiac and respiratory step-down unit at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. In her role as an Infection Preventionist, Michelle regularly works with Surgical Operations, Anesthesia, the Urological Institute, Dialysis, and some areas of the Digestive Disease Institute.
Before her nursing degree, Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in criminal justice and spent many years working in the commercial lines insurance industry. She is grateful to have entered the nursing profession and to have the opportunity to help people each day. In her free time, her favorite things to do are thrift shopping, reading, and any activity on or near the water.
