Dr. Michael TeKippe obtained his M.D. along with a Ph.D. in molecular genetics and microbiology from Duke University in 2010. He went on to complete his pediatric residency at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and split his fellowship training in pediatric infectious diseases between Vanderbilt University and UT Southwestern. He joined the staff of Advocate Children’s Hospital in 2017 as a pediatric infectious diseases attending and became the medical director of pediatric infection prevention for the Advocate Aurora Health System in 2021. He has done research on a variety of topics in his career and most recently worked in conjunction with the Cook County Department of Public Health to publish on a measles outbreak there. He also has a deep passion for medical education and has won multiple teaching awards throughout his career.
