Juliet Ferrelli is a highly accomplished infection prevention professional with over 23 years of experience in the Pittsburgh area, currently serving as the Network Director of Infection Prevention at Allegheny Health Network (AHN). Her strong scientific foundation is evidenced by her Master's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology.
A passionate advocate for infection prevention, Juliet is an active member of the APIC. Since joining in 2002, she attained APIC Fellow status (2016), received the APIC Chapter Leader Award (2017), and served two terms as President of the Three Rivers Pittsburgh APIC chapter (2012, 2016), currently holding the position. She further contributed through seven years as Conference Planning Chair and as Planning and Marketing Chair. She also contributes to the field through her role on the AJIC Editorial Board.
Her dedication extends to publishing peer-reviewed articles, presenting at national conferences, and advising Bobrick's Products on hygiene and wellness in commercial spaces. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Juliet played a pivotal role at AHN, leading infection prevention strategies, guiding PPE allocation during shortages, creating and reviewing network policies, managing contact tracing, and implementing process improvements across the healthcare system. Her unwavering support for staff during this unprecedented time, ensured their safety and confidence in the workplace
