​Care earned a Master of Public Health in Hospital & Molecular Epidemiology with a focus on hospital infection prevention from the University of Michigan. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fairfield University. Clare first became passionate about public health during her undergraduate studies, and her post college work in a hospital pathology lab sparked her interest in disease prevention. Since joining the Henry Ford Health team in 2019, Clare has focused on C. diff surveillance and prevention, unit-based quality improvement projects, the hospital's hand hygiene program, and more recently surgical site infection surveillance and prevention. She enjoys working in healthcare as it allows her to utilize her analytical and problem-solving skills to help people by promoting a safer environment for both patients and employees.
