Jennifer Husband, MPH, CIC is the System Director of Infection Prevention at LCMC Health, where she leads infection prevention initiatives across nine healthcare facilities. With expertise in epidemiology and microbial biology, she has successfully developed and implemented strategies to reduce hospital-acquired infections, enhance patient safety, and ensure regulatory compliance.
With extensive experience in diverse healthcare settings—including acute care hospitals, trauma centers, NICUs, burn units, psychiatric facilities, and long-term acute care hospitals—Jennifer has led large-scale infection prevention programs. She has successfully reduced catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) and central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI) and implemented MRSA decolonization protocols to minimize multidrug-resistant organism (MDRO) transmission.
A proven leader in healthcare quality and safety, she has played a key role in emergency preparedness, including policy development during the COVID-19 pandemic. She has also guided facilities through regulatory surveys by The Joint Commission and state auditors. Committed to mentorship and professional development, she has trained and prepared novice Infection Preventionists for certification and career advancement. Her leadership continues to drive excellence in infection prevention and patient care.
