Radhamoneyamma Nair is an accomplished Infection Preventionist with over two decades of experience in infection prevention and control. As the Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) Surveillance Coordinator at NYU Langone Health in New York, she plays a vital role in protecting patient safety by identifying and preventing HAIs. Since 2002, she has worked at leading academic medical centers and in various healthcare settings, including hospitals and sub-acute care facilities, building a comprehensive knowledge of infection prevention and control practices. Ms. Nair also has delivered lectures on infection prevention to nursing staff, allied health professionals, and medical students.
Ms. Nair holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New Delhi University, India, and is board-certified Infection Prevention and Control (CIC). She is also an active member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) Long Island chapter. Prior to her specialized role in infection prevention, she gained valuable clinical and leadership experience as a nurse manager in both respiratory and rehab units.
