I have been a Master’s trained epidemiologist for over 10 years. I have worked in various settings, including, acute care infection control, state and local public health and emergency preparedness. Currently I am a research scientist for the Bureau of Healthcare Associated Infections at the NYS Dept of Health. In my current role, I am the Regional Representative for Capital District and Bronx acute care hospitals that audit the hospitals’ NHSN reporting for reportable infections. I am also a liaison for infection preventionists navigating challenging clinical cases to ensure that there are no NHSN reportable conditions. In my spare time I read historic public health books, spend time with my daughter, and our three cats: Yeti, Dill, and Winnie.
