Julann Cheesman, MSN, MBA, RN, CIC, is the Infection Prevention Manager East for Allegheny Health Network, overseeing Forbes and Allegheny Valley Hospitals. Her 35+ year career began at Butler County Community College where she earned her ASN. She continued her education at Penn State University, obtaining her BSN, and completed her studies at Carlow University with a Master’s in Education and Leadership and an MBA in Healthcare Administration. Her extensive clinical experience includes orthopedics, telemetry, medical intensive care, surgical cardiothoracic intensive care, and post-anesthesia care. Mrs. Cheesman’s infection prevention career encompasses work in small community hospitals, assisting in the opening and establishing a new 160-bed community hospital, and currently a 316-bed community hospital with a Level I trauma center.
