Infection Preventionist

Nancy Chambers, DNP, R.N., CIC, is an infection preventionist at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, North Carolina. She obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Stanly Community College in Albemarle, North Carolina, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Grand Canyon University.
Chambers has been the CAUTI (Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infection) prevention coordinator at Moore Regional Hospital for eight years. She began her healthcare career in critical care and joined FirstHealth in 1990, working on the medical-surgical unit. After several years in Women and Children’s Services, she transitioned into infection prevention in 2016. Chambers is also Board-Certified in Infection Prevention and Control.
