Sylvia Ford MSN,CIC, CMIP is a Board-Certified Infection Preventionist III at the University of Kansas Health System. In this capacity, she collaborates across various disciplines to ensure patient care practices effectively prevent the spread of infections. Her responsibilities include partnering with perioperative and procedural areas and overseeing the quality assurance program for high-level disinfection. With 23 years of experience as an Infection Preventionist, Sylvia has been an active member of the Greater Kansas City Association of Professionals in Infection Control (APIC). Additionally, she has presented to diverse audiences at both local and national levels.
