Diana Yacoub, RN, BSN, MPA, CIC, CPHQ, FAPIC proudly serves as the Assistant Vice President of Infection Prevention at Northwell Health in New York. With a background in pediatric ICU and plastic surgery, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Stony Brook University and a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College. Diana achieved certification in infection prevention and control (CIC) in 2013 and healthcare quality in 2023. As an adjunct professor at Molloy University, she teaches an infection control training course. Diana is a member of APIC Greater New York for 14 years, serving as Secretary (2020-2022), President Elect (2023), President (2024) and Immediate Past President (2025). Diana is dedicated to advancing member engagement and chapter committee participation. Diana’s contribution to infection prevention research includes publications and several posters showcasing efforts to decrease hospital acquired infections and improve patient safety.
