Linda Dickey is the 2022 past president for APIC. She has worked for 33 years in epidemiology & infection prevention, the majority serving in leadership roles at the University of California, Irvine, directing the programs for epidemiology & infection prevention, quality, and patient safety. Additionally, Linda has experience in adult critical care nursing. Ms. Dickey has taught for 20+ years for the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) in courses related to healthcare design, construction and water management and served on the ASHRAE 188 Committee to develop the national standard for legionella management. In addition, she has provided IPC expertise to the FGI’s Health Guidelines Revision Committee and was appointed to the FGI Board of Directors in 2024. Linda has most recently served as interim director of infection prevention for the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and as a consultant for Georgia Pacific, Olympus, and Octet Medical.
