Lisa Tomlinson, MA, CAE serves as APIC's Vice President, Government Affairs and Practice Guidance. Ms. Tomlinsons' professional experience includes approximately 15 years as a congressional aide on healthcare issues to Members of Congress with diverse constituencies from the South, Midwest and West Coast of the United States. At APIC, Ms. Tomlinson works to assist APIC members with successfully advocating for infection prevention priorities before state, local, and federal policymakers. In this role, she seeks to help legislators and regulators better understand the profession and the critical role that infection preventionists play within healthcare institutions.
