Darren Page, MN, RN, CIC is a Senior Infection Preventionist at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, located in Miami, Florida. Darren has been a registered nurse for 18 years, the last 9 of which have been in infection prevention and control. He obtained a BSN from Pacific Lutheran University and a Master in Nursing from the University of Washington. Darren has worked as a staff nurse in med-surg, cardiac step-down, and medical intensive care. He has extensive experience project managing complex infection prevention projects and serves on his hospital's water management team. He oversees infection prevention in the pediatric intensive care unit, pediatric oncology unit, pediatric bone marrow transplant unit, pediatric infusion unit, and the pediatric dental clinic. His passion is preventing infections in the immunocompromised host. Darren is board certified in infection prevention and he currently serves as the education co-chair for the APIC Miami-Dade Chapter.
