Heather Smith, MLS (ASCP)CM, CIC, is an Infection Preventionist at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. She received her degree in Biology at Gannon University and her post-graduate clinical laboratory education at Saint Vincent Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania in 2007. Prior to moving to Ohio in 2017, she worked as a clinical microbiologist for Associated Clinical Laboratories and taught Microbiology at Saint Vincent School of Medical Technology. After moving to Columbus, she joined Ohio State Wexner Medical center as a clincal microbiologist and in 2019 transitioned to her current role in Epidemiology and Infection Prevention.
