Infection Preventionist

Lacey is an Infection Preventionist with Nebraska ICAP and is the Healthcare Associated Infections-Antimicrobial Resistance Infection Preventionist and NHSN Coordination Lead for Nebraska DHHS. Lacey has been with this team since November 2020. Previously, she was the infection preventionist in the acute care and long-term care settings from 2015-2020. Prior to her work in Infection Prevention, she worked in the acute hospital setting as a float pool and pediatric nurse, as well as behavioral health and long-term care.
She earned her BSN is from the University of Northern Colorado and her MSN from American Sentinel University. Lacey received her certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) in June of 2017, Long-Term Care Certification in Infection Prevention (LTC-CIP) in February 2023, and Fellow of APIC (FAPIC) in 2024. She has served as a board member of Nebraska APIC Chapter for 5 years, most recently as the chapter president in 2025.
