Dr. Mariana Torres is a physician managing BlueDot’s Infectious Disease Surveillance team. Mariana is a Pediatric Specialist Physician with a Clinical and Research Master in Pediatric Immunology and Infectious Diseases. Mariana has author and co-author contributions to peer-reviewed papers with a focus on arboviruses such as dengue, and chikungunya, estimation of the true size of the Mpox outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2022, and the most recent published on September 2024 Potential for international spread of Oropouche virus via commercial air travel.
