Josephine received a Bachelor’s degree in nursing at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College and a Master’s in Public Health concentrating in Epidemiology and Biosecurity and Disaster Preparedness from Saint Louis University. She has worked for Barnes Jewish Hospital, affiliated with Washington University School of Medicine, since 2009. In her time there, she has worked as a staff nurse in both the emergency department and medicine floors. In 2014 she joined the Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Prevention Department, as an Infection Preventionist. Her current areas of focus include safe reprocessing, infection prevention in the oncology population, and multidisciplinary CLABSI reduction efforts. Josephine is Board Certified in Infection Prevention and Control.
