Mark MacIsaac is a member of the Construction Safety team within the Environmental Health & Safety Department at Boston Children’s Hospital. Prior to his current role at Boston Children’s, Mark served in a number of capacities including Construction Safety Consultant and Safety Manager for large scale general contracting firms.
Mark has several years of construction safety experience in the hospital setting. As Construction Safety Officer, he oversees interim life safety measures, demolition plans, in-house engineering system shutdowns, contractor orientation, and is a member of the multidisciplinary pre-construction risk assessment team.
Mark is an advocate for patient safety and remains a key asset to infection prevention and control during construction and renovation. Working closely with infection preventionists, he has supported countless IPC initiatives for construction and renovation, including the implementation of ICRA 2.0, the permitting process, and most recently, K-Cards for construction.
