Carol Vance is currently a Nursing Professional Development Specialist/Special Projects. She works in special projects jointly with Infection Prevention from the Nursing side. Previous role was the multi-site director of infection prevention for Advocate Children’s Hospital and Advocate Aurora Healthcare System Pediatric Service Line. She received her MSN with emphasis in Leadership from Webster University. She is currently in pursuit of an PhD in Leadership in innovation and Continuous Improvement at Concordia University in WI. Mrs. Vance has 19+ years of nursing experience in the areas of critical care and infection prevention. She won the APIC Hero Award in 2015 and has presented at APIC Annual Conference and Spring SHEA conference. She had been active in local STL APIC chapter as board member and President Elect. She has also served on APIC’s education committee, Board of Director for National APIC, APIC faculty and currently on Nation Nominating and Awards Committee.
