Kimberly Carney, BS, MT(ASCP), CIC is an Infection Preventionist at WVU Medicine, Ruby Memorial Hospital. She provides infection prevention oversight and education for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, Dialysis, Behavioral Health, and Ambulatory Care. Kimberly has over 25 years of healthcare experience, including 18 years as a Medical Technologist and laboratory supervisor. She has specialized in infection prevention for the past 8 years, with experience spanning inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and ambulatory settings. Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Medical Technology from The Pennsylvania State University and is certified in both Medical Technology (ASCP) and Infection Control (CIC). She currently serves as Membership Chair for the Three Rivers Pittsburgh APIC chapter.
