Infection Prevention Specialist

Emily Jacoby is an Infection Prevention Specialist at St. Louis Children's Hospital affiliated with Washington University School of Medicine. Over the past six years she's worked directly with the inpatient Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit as well as supporting the outpatient Hematology/Oncology Infusion Clinics. She partners directly with bedside staff, and medical and nursing leadership on the Oncology units to prevent Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI), including Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSI). She is also a member of the BJC Healthcare System's Integrated Surveillance Team providing coverage to pediatric cases across the BJC Healthcare System. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University. She has been a member of BJC Healthcare for the past ten years. Prior to working in Infection Prevention, she worked as a Registered Nurse on the Cardiothoracic Surgery Units at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
