Katie Taylor is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) and Medical Director of Infection Prevention at Our Lady of the Lake Health (Baton Rouge, LA) and St. Dominic Hospital (Jackon, MS) of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. She received her BS in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University and her MD from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Taylor completed her Internal Medicine residency at LSUHSC in Baton Rouge followed by Infectious Diseases fellowship at University of Florida Health, Gainesville. During medical school and residency, she was awarded for excellence in teaching by her peers. Her clinical duties include supervising internal medicine residents and medical students on the LSU Infectious Diseases consult service at Our Lady of the Lake RMC. She has professional interests in infection prevention and medical education, particularly as it relates to the development of educational tools.
