Connie Savor Price, MD, is the Chief of Infectious Diseases and Medical Director of Infection Control and Prevention at the Denver Health. She is also an Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver. Dr. Price is board-certified in infectious diseases and medical microbiology. She chairs the Infection Control and Prevention Committee at Denver Health, an academic Level 1 trauma center and vertically integrated safety net system. She has delivered > 100 invited lectures nationally and internationally on infection prevention. Dr. Price has served as a Principal Investigator on several federally funded projects focused on methods to prevent healthcare associated infections. Dr. Price served on the Board of Directors for the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America, and currently serves as Chair Elect for the Healthcare Epidemiology Section of American Society of Microbiology. She has been the physician representative for the Colorado Health Facility Acquired Infections Advisory Committee since the inception of public reporting of HAIs in the State and served as Lead Faculty for the ARRA-funded Colorado Infection Prevention Collaborative.
