A seasoned infection prevention leader with over 25 years of experience in healthcare infection prevention and control. As the Director of Infection Prevention, Bency leads comprehensive infection prevention programs, ensuring patient and staff safety through evidence-based practices, regulatory compliance, and innovative strategies.
Throughout her career, Bency has been instrumental in developing and executing strategic initiatives that enhances patient safety and quality improvements. She is a recognized leader and subject matter expert in the field, actively contributing to policy development, staff education, and interdisciplinary collaboration to prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
An active member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), Bency has presented at IHI forums and national conferences in Qatar, sharing her expertise on best practices in infection prevention and control. She is also involved in mentoring the next generation of infection preventionist, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
As a registered nurse, certified in Infection Control (CIC) since 2008 and holding Master’s degree in Infection Control, Bency remains dedicated to advancing infection prevention science to enhance patient outcomes and healthcare safety.
