Jacquelyn Hoover, BSN, RN, CCRN, CIC, has been an Infection Preventionist at the UAB Health System since 2020, bringing over 18 years of nursing experience with a specialization in cardiac care. Throughout her career, she has worked in intensive care, cardiac stepdown, and cardiac critical care, developing a strong foundation in managing high-acuity patients. Jacquelyn is certified in both critical care (CCRN) and infection control (CIC), reflecting her dedication to patient safety and quality care.
In 2021, she earned a Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety, further enhancing her expertise. Jacquelyn has played a key role in several hospital initiatives, including the pneumonia prevention program and the reduction of surgical site infections (SSIs) in neurosurgery.
