Infection Preventionist

Lacey Kovar, MPH, CIC is an Infection Prevention Specialist for Covenant Children’s Hospital. Lacey received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Tech University and a Master of Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center. She is Board Certified in Infection Prevention and Control. For the last eight years she has worked as an infection preventionist in the inpatient setting as well as serving hospital based ambulatory clinics. Prior to her career in infection prevention, she worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Health as an acute disease epidemiologist investigating communicable diseases and outbreaks.
