Ellen Simonson, RN, MPH, CIC, is the Director of Infection Prevention and Control at CentraCare, a healthcare system that includes two acute care hospitals, five critical access hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and primary and specialty care clinics. In this role, she leads the development and implementation of infection prevention strategies across these diverse healthcare settings, working to ensure patient safety and reduce healthcare-associated infections.
Ellen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing (BAN) and a Master of Public Health (MPH), along with certification in Infection Control (CIC). She brings extensive experience in both clinical nursing and public health to her work, collaborating with healthcare teams to promote evidence-based practices and improve healthcare outcomes. Ellen is also dedicated to continuous professional development, contributing to research, education, and healthcare quality improvement initiatives.
