Katie Moore, MPH, CIC, serves as an Infection Preventionist and Data Coordinator at University of Michigan Health in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She embarked on her professional journey with local and state public health agencies, where she honed her data management and analysis skills, particularly in the realm of infectious diseases.
Building on this foundation, Katie transitioned to Michigan Medicine, where she utilized her expertise as a data analyst with continuous quality improvement organizations. She later joined the Infection Prevention and Epidemiology (IPE) department within the Academic Medical Center, where she continues to make significant contributions.
In her current role with IPE, Katie focuses on leveraging the extensive data tables underlying the hospital chart system. She is adept at producing regular data reports, including control charts, to support infection prevention efforts and enhance patient care. Her deep understanding of data analytics and infection control underscores her commitment to advancing healthcare quality and safety.
