Kammi Austin is an Infection Preventionist in the department of Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) for Infection Prevention and Control. Ms. Austin has been with West Los Angeles VA for 16 years and initially joined Infection Control in 2018. She received her Bachelor Degree in Nursing and Masters Degree from Grand Canyon University. As an active member of the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), she remains at the forefront of infection prevention, continually integrating the latest evidence-based practices into her work. Her proactive approach enhances patient safety and reinforces the overall mission of providing safe, timely, effective, efficient, and equitable care to our Veterans.
