Jennifer graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In her 17 years at Corewell Health/Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Jennifer has held various positions including phlebotomist, nursing technician, adult orthopaedic/trauma nurse, pediatric emergency charge nurse where she obtained her Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) certification. Jennifer began working as a Senior Infection Preventionist at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in August 2021. She is a leader in CLABSI prevention and an Environmental Services IP liason. Jennifer also covers the neonatal intensive care unit, Cystic Fibrosis clinic, outpatient pediatric hemodialysis, pediatric emergency department and inpatient medical/surgical pediatric units. Jennifer has previously presented at national APIC, local APIC chapters and the Synova NICU Leadership Forum.
