Heather has 18 years of nursing experience across multiple specialties. She began her infection prevention journey in 2018 as the sole infection preventionist at a small, critical access hospital in Alaska. Heather completed her Master of Science in Infection Prevention and Epidemiology from the University of Providence in 2020.
Heather is passionate about infection prevention as it applies to the physical environment with a special focus on controlling waterborne pathogens and ensuring adequate water quality in instrument reprocessing.
