Kelley Tobey BSN, MPH, RN, CIC is an Infection Prevention Specialist with the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH), Healthcare Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance Program. She began her public health career in the Emergency Preparedness division of TDH in 2014. Kelley was raised in Pennsylvania where she obtained her nursing degree. She has over 20 years of experience working as a bedside RN in acute care hospital units including Med-Surg, Peds, Cardiology, and Neonatal Intensive Care. Upon completing her Master of Public Health specializing in Community Health Education at the University of Tennessee she began her infection prevention career at a Knoxville acute care hospital. She is an active member of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) and has served on the APIC Smoky Mountain’s Board of Directors since 2010. She has been certified in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) since 2014.
