Stephanie Parente, MSN, RN, CIC, CPHQ, is the System Director of Infection Prevention, Accreditation, and Regulatory Readiness for Brown University Health (BUH) in Providence, Rhode Island. In this leadership role, she oversees Epidemiology and Infection Prevention, as well as Accreditation and Regulatory Readiness, across six acute care hospitals within BUH, which spans both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. BUH provides a comprehensive range of services, including adult, pediatric, behavioral health, trauma, stroke, cancer, rehabilitation, residential, and ambulatory care.
With over 12 years of experience in Infection Prevention, Stephanie has developed a strong expertise in this field, driving initiatives to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance across multiple healthcare settings. Additionally, she has a rich background in Employee Health and Patient Safety and has served as a Registered Nurse for 15 years.
Stephanie earned her Master of Science in Nursing in April 2017 and obtained her Certification in Infection Control (CIC) in June 2019. As a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), she continues to advocate for best practices and high standards in healthcare delivery.
