Shazia has been working as an Infection Control Specialist at one of the largest ambulatory Hemodialysis Center at Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia since 2015. She was graduated in Nursing and completed her Master of Science in clinical psychology afterwards. She holds a certification in Infection Control (CIC) & Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). She is having a management career with a proven track record of increasing department efficiency, establishing processes, and improving patient & staff safety. Shazia has been actively engaged in teaching, education and research on preventing healthcare associated infections in dialysis patients. Holding an extensive master’s degree in Business Administration & Management (MBA), She demonstrated herself the aptitude to lead and motivate effectively. Highly skillful and Expert in the field of Infection Control, Quality, safety audits, and compliance. Additionally, she is serving as an Infection Control Auditor at Ministry of Health KSA. She has been a principal author in several research articles on Infection Control, Quality performance measures those are published in peer reviewed journals. Moreover, she is working as a guest editor and a member of reviewer board of STM Journals. Shazia is a co-founder and a manager of one of the largest educational platforms in the Middle East for virtual study and training of candidates preparing for infection control certification. Based on her exemplary work in education & training, and mentoring candidates for infection control certification (CIC) Shazia has been appointed as a first Ambassador of CBIC, in Jan 2024. A positively ambitious, energetic person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who has developed a mature and responsible approach to any duty or situation that she undertakes.
