Lorna Middleton, MSN, RN, CIC is a board certified Infection Preventionist with 13 years of experience in cardiac, medical and psychiatric nursing and 6 years of experience in acute care, critical access and behavioral health infection prevention and control. Lorna’s professional interests include staff education, patient advocacy, and prevention of device-associated infections. Lorna has served the Oregon and Southern Washington chapter of the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) as a conference planning committee member, nominating committee member and is currently a member of the board of directors. Lorna is currently an Infection Preventionist with PeaceHealth in Oregon splitting her time between 3 sites: Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield, Sacred Heart Behavioral Health Unit in Eugene, and Cottage Grove Community Medical Center in Cottage Grove.
