Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion, participants will be able to better evaluate the role of subglottic ET tubes in reducing Possible Ventilator-Associated Pneumonias (PVAPs) in mechanically ventilated patients.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to recognize the role of oral care in preventing VAP and how to monitor and improve compliance with oral care protocols.
  • Upon completion, participants will be able to establish multidisciplinary collaboration to implement and sustain effective strategies for reducing Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP).
