Joint Accreditation | CME / CNE Credits 
In support of improving patient care, The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (APIC) is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

APIC 2025 Annual Conference Learning Objectives 
The goals for APIC’s Annual Conference are for participants to share and discuss research findings in the fields of infection prevention and control and healthcare epidemiology, to exchange ideas and insights, and to network for collaboration, career and professional development.  

Learners will:  

• Describe best practices and research evidence in the field of infection prevention and healthcare epidemiology and discuss how to incorporate innovative strategies and solutions into practice. 

• Summarize state-of-the-art developments in the fields of antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship, disinfection and sterilization, emergency preparedness, environment of care, implementation science and research, information technology and surveillance, occupation health and wellness and public health policy. 

• Improve inclusive and diverse multi-disciplinary dialogue and collaboration among members of the healthcare team.  

• Apply quality improvement strategies to practice. 

• Enhance professional development skills of the healthcare team through leadership development and program management optimization.   

CE Credits  
Attendance of live events or review of recorded programs in their entirety and evaluation completion is a prerequisite for receiving CE credits. Evaluations for each session attended (whether live or on-demand) must be completed by September 30, 2025 to receive your certificate of completion. 

CME:  Continuing Medical Education 
The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) designates this blended activity for a maximum of 93 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

CNE: Continuing Nursing Education 
The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) designates this blended activity for a maximum of 93 nursing contact hours.

Infection Prevention Units (IPUs) 
One Infection Prevention Unit (IPU) is defined as one hour of time spent on an educational experience. Attendees of the APIC 2025 Annual Conference may earn up to 10 IPUs for attending the conference live or virtually. 

The conference content provides attendees with the opportunity to earn additional Infection Prevention Units (IPUs) for viewing the 60-minute on-demand sessions.  Please note that IPUs are only provided for sessions that are a minimum of one hour, however, two 30-minute sessions can be combined for a total of one IPU.

Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (formerly AACC)
This activity is approved for a total of 96.75 ACCENT® continuing education credits. Activity ID #4312. This activity was planned in accordance with ACCENT® Standards and Policies. Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification

This program is approved for up to 100.5 hours of AEUs and up to 75.5 hours of IPCHs by BASC Provider #0245.

This program is approved for up to 88.75 CE Credits from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association. Provider #250306.

Financial Disclosures 
APIC, in accordance with Joint Accreditation requirements and the Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education, requires everyone who is in a position to control the content of an accredited educational activity to disclose all financial relationships with any ineligible companies (those whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients). Financial relationships include any financial relationship in any amount occurring within the past 24 months that exists between the person in control of content and an ineligible company. 

Faculty are required to either disclose financial relationships (name of ineligible company and nature of relationship) and include a statement that all relevant financial relationships have been mitigated or indicate that there are no relevant financial relationships.  

APIC is responsible for ensuring that all CE-accredited activities are fair and balanced. APIC must also ensure all decisions related to the planning, faculty selection, delivery, and evaluation of accredited education are free from commercial bias and made without any influence or involvement from the owners and employees of an ineligible company. 

Mitigation of Financial Conflicts of Interest 
It is the policy of APIC, in accordance with Joint Accreditation requirements and the Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education, that all faculty financial disclosures are mitigated prior to the beginning of the APIC Annual Conference. The following are methods of mitigating relevant conflicts of interest(s) prior to the beginning of  the APIC Annual Conference: 

• Those participating in the development of program content, will refrain from developing those components of the meeting that support or promote any financial relationship(s). 
• Disclosure to the audience, any relevant financial relationship(s) and include a statement that all relevant financial relationships have been mitigated.
