Fraudulent Housing Claims

APIC has designated MCI USA as the only housing provider for the 2025 APIC Annual Conference and Exposition. There are fraudulent companies and organizations that will try to present themselves as official partners of APIC and offer you a potential room that might not be guaranteed or available. 
 
Commonly referred to as “housing pirates” these are companies that phone, fax or email attendees and exhibitors, claiming to offer good deals on hotels. They may falsely claim to be affiliated with APIC. 
 
No APIC-authorized organization will contact you about APIC25 hotels or housing. Unless you have initiated the communication, please do not provide anyone with your personal information, especially a credit card number. If you provide credit card information to one of these companies, it may be charged and there is no guarantee that the room will be available upon arrival in Phoenix. 
 

Reporting Fraudulent Activity 

If contacted by someone asking if you need a room at APIC25 or representing themselves as the “APIC25 Housing Bureau,” please: 
 
Get as much information as you can, such as the name of the company, the name of the person calling, company address, email address and telephone number. The more information we have, the better for us to stop them from contacting others. If possible, please request information such as hotel availability and rates or have them send this information to you via email.
